A Dog Family

When Clint & Becky were married a few years ago, we agreed that we were dog people. Clint has some difficulties with cat allergies, so that ruled out cats. What we couldn't seem to agree on, was what dog would work with our lifestyle, home/yard, and personalities. About a year ago, we got serious about praying for the right dog to come to our family. Our kids are at a great age for a dog. There was always something in our way to stop us from getting dogs we heard about or saw online.

Then one night, we found an adorable dog at a rescue site online. We quickly emailed for more information, and he just sounded too good to be true. He is about 8 months old, super friendly, and they think he is a corgi/sheltie mix. After a detailed application process was complete, we got the word that they had chosen us! So we scheduled a pickup time and headed out to meet him. There was just no question that this was the dog for us, so we brought him home.

A decision was made to name him "Samoset," since he came to us right before Thanksgiving. We'll call him "Sam" or "Sammy." Once we made it home, right away he was welcomed by "Cassie" Dolph and "Prince" Tan. They came to our house for a quick meet-n-greet! We're off to a great start and very happy to be a dog family at last.
