Kayaks at Hat Rock

On a sunny, Sabbath afternoon, we couldn't resist the opportunity to catch up with Cliff, Jan and Ethan at Hat Rock. We have never been there before, and were thankful for the opportunity to check out the park, relax with friends, play in the water and enjoy supper together. They were kind enough to let us try out the kayak too!

Ice Skating Night

We enjoyed a night of ice skating with a lot of our church families tonight. Becky was in charge of the outing, and we were delighted to see so many smiling faces out on the ice.

Sarah and Ben have really improved their skating, and it was a treat to skate with so many friends. Clint was the designated skating photographer. We'll definitely plan this again next year.

BBQ Buddies

Jan & Cliff have been traveling most weekends this summer, and we haven't spent enough time with them. They called with a plan to go to their place for BBQ. They knew we were busy getting ready for the trip, but we'd need to eat anyway. Ethan and Claire were there to entertain our kids. I brought along an angel food cake we had on hand, and I was worried Clint wouldn't eat it while I was gone. Turned out Jan had strawberries and we had a great summer dessert on the spot. Cliff prepared the best Grillers on their new grill. We enjoyed the food and company, but then rushed home to finish packing!

This is the life...

Jan, Cliff and Ethan had us over for supper and a dip in their hot tub this evening. What a great idea! This was our first time in the new hot tub (they recently got a new one). We ate too much food and then filed out to the warm water. Aahhhh... Very relaxing. I'm really glad they are our friends - and I'm not just saying that because of the hot tub! :)
