Sarah has been learning about whales in her classroom. For a science project, she was given the assignment of researching the blue whale. She had to make a 3-D model (to scale, 1 inch = 1 foot), write and present a report, and also design a poster. The process has taken several weeks. She has worked on a lot of the research, and already completed the poster.
Today she put the finishing touches on her 3-D model. We have to transport it with the van since it is 10 feet long! Often we thought of how our daughter chose the largest of all whales, and in fact the largest of all earth creatures. It would be simpler to do a pilot whale. :) Now that her model is finished, we are all glad she took the time to make every detail "just right." Now we just need to get through her report presentation next week!
