A Snake! Oh, My!

Clint's lesson for Sarah's class today was about Moses, the Israelites, poisonous snakes and the bronze snake (see Numbers 21:4-9 for more on this story). It seemed like a great time to call in another Dad with a live snake to share with the class. They were able to meet and touch a snake named "Smores."

All of the kids were excited to learn a bit more about snakes and to touch and hold a snake. It struck me to see all the girls in their pretty Sabbath dresses as they excitedly reached out for the snake. We had a great craft using Model Magic to make small snakes and then put them on craft sticks along with a memory verse.

We celebrated Sarah's birthday in class today, and paused for some family photos outside church before heading home.
