Blueberry Day

This morning was the opening day for blueberry picking and we weren't going to miss it! Clint was able to come with us and we were determined to come home with a big batch of blueberries. Several years ago we were introduced to blueberry picking, and we've been hooked ever since. We gobble the giant, fresh blueberries for weeks during the summer, and enjoy frozen berries the rest of the year. Usually, Becky goes with the kids two or three times a season, and usually come home with about 15 lbs. each visit.

Today we started slowly because a lot of pickers had come VERY early and grabbed most of the berries. When we were about to call it a day, we were told of a new section they were opening. We thought we would check it out and we were delighted to find much larger berries, and they just fell into our buckets. Yummy. We ended the day before lunch with over 33 lbs.! Guess what we had for lunch!
