Becky, Ben, and Sarah made a quick overnight trip to San Antonio to see Ronda. She is working there for about another month, and was excited to show us her apartment and some of the downtown. We walked along the Riverwalk near her office, not the commercial area with shops and restaurants. The kids enjoyed the shapes in the sidewalk: circles, square, stars, etc. Then we visited a Vietnam War memorial, and she drove us by the Alamo. We hopped out of the car, took a photo while she drove around the block, and then hopped back in the car. It wasn't as dark as the photos seems, and the kids were very impressed. We're planning to take a day trip down here before we leave to visit the Alamo in a more official way. But just in case we don't make it back, we're glad to have been here now.

We finally got around to peeking at the blog to see what y'all are up to. (Maybe someday we'll even get around to updating ours too.) We're fine here but we miss our redheaded daughter, and we blew out a tire on the way home last night. Oh, and I have a cold. Just a typical day in July. Hope it isn't too too hot for you. It's 92 here today, but 0 humidity!
