On the Trail to Texas

Becky, Sarah & Ben are off to Texas today. We rose at dawn and packed up our wagon, I mean van. Clint drove us to the airport and we were off to our first stop in Denver.

Clint's Dad made our layover a happy one because he drove out to spend about an hour with us. We ate lunch together and hurried to get back through security with enough time to get to our gate. We only saw him a short time, but really enjoyed seeing him again and sharing hugs. The sad thing was when we arrived at the gate, we learned our flight was delayed due to lightening. We ended up leaving 1 1/2 hours later, so we could have spent more time with Grandpa.

Anyway, both of our flights were great. We were intrigued with tracking our flight on the movie screen on the seat in front of us. It displayed our location, speed and altitude. We were very happy to reach Texas, and even happier to see Becky's brother, James, and his son, Christopher! They were waiting for us at the baggage area. Our adventure in Texas has begun!
