The Thank You Pie

In the midst of the craziness in my life between church projects and preparing for a big trip, I was surprised with a friend at my front door. Khai-Ling baked me a blueberry pie to say thank you for all the work I've been doing in Sabbath School, and signed the card "from all of the parents".

I was feeling overwhelmed on Sunday, worrying about Sabbath school and the trip preparations, and the same day she arrived with a pie. God is good to me. I was smiling the rest of the evening. I was more touched by the card and pie, although the pie didn't survive long enough for a photo. They had cut "Thank you Becky" and a smiling face in the top pie crust before baking. It is so nice to remember there are people around sharing their appreciation and support.
